Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities
Plan prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the Key Stage 1 curriculum requirements.
Foster a nurturing inclusive and safe classroom environment that supports all pupils learning and development.
Monitor assess and track pupil progress using assessments to inform planning and next steps.
Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants colleagues and senior leaders to ensure a consistent approach.
Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support home learning and pupil progress.
Participate fully in school life including staff meetings professional development and extracurricular activities.
Year 1 Teacher Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1 ideally Year 1.
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Excellent communication interpersonal and classroom management skills.
Creative reflective and adaptable with a commitment to professional development.
Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive inclusive learning environment.
