You will be responsible for teaching a class of engaged and enthusiastic Year 4 pupils supporting their development across all subject areas while fostering confidence independence and a love of learning. The role offers the chance to work within a collaborative and experienced KS2 team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering well-structured engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Using assessment to inform planning monitor progress and ensure all pupils are supported and challenged appropriately.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and mutual respect.
- Maintaining effective communication with parents carers and colleagues.
- Contributing to wider school life including events enrichment opportunities and curriculum development.

Essential criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 ideally with experience or familiarity with the Year 4 curriculum.
- A good understanding of the KS2 national curriculum and assessment expectations.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing pupil-focused approach.
- Excellent teamwork planning and communication skills.
