Job Description

A vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Bournemouth is looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join their thriving department from January 2026. This is a permanent full-time position and offers a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about developing creativity encouraging artistic expression and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.

Full-time permanent Art Teacher position starting January 2026
Successful secondary school in Bournemouth with a strong arts reputation
Teach across KS3KS5 with opportunities to contribute to exam preparation and enrichment
Work alongside a committed and supportive team in a well-resourced department

Experience and Qualifications
Qualified Art Teacher with QTS (PGCE or equivalent)
Strong subject knowledge across a variety of artistic media including fine art textiles and digital art
Proven ability to deliver engaging and imaginative lessons that challenge and inspire
Enthusiasm for organising and leading extracurricular activities such as art clubs trips and exhibitions
Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies with high expectations for student success
Strong organisational and collaborative skills with the ability to contribute to a dynamic department
Legal right to work in the UK
