Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated KS1 Teacher to join a highly regarded independent school in Barnet. This is a full-time permanent role that offers the chance to inspire young learners at a crucial stage in their education. The school is looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can bring energy expertise and creativity to the classroom while supporting the individual progress and wellbeing of each child.

Responsibilities of a KS1 Teacher:

  • Deliver the Key Stage 1 curriculum with creativity enthusiasm and high expectations.
  • Provide a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independence and curiosity.
  • Assess and track progress adapting teaching to support individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a broad and balanced curriculum enriched with specialist teaching and extracurricular opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support childrens learning and wellbeing.

KS1 Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 with a strong understanding of early learning and transition from EYFS.
  • Excellent communication organisational and classroom management skills.
  • A reflective and proactive approach with a genuine passion for teaching young children.
  • The ability to contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
