The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Key Stage 1 teacher who is passionate about early learning and building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy.
- Teaching focus: Take full classroom responsibility for a Year 2 class delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the curriculum.
- Support structure: Benefit from a well-resourced classroom dedicated teaching assistant and close collaboration with a parallel Year 2 teacher.
- Planning & assessment: Schemes of work and resources are in place; collaborative planning is part of the year groups routine.
- Tech-enabled environment: The school embraces the use of technology to support teaching learning and communication.

Ideal Candidate
- Qualified teacher with QTS and recent experience in Key Stage 1
- Confident in delivering high-quality teaching particularly in phonics reading writing and early maths
- Committed to inclusive education and meeting the needs of all learners
- Strong communicator who works well as part of a team
- Organised reflective and proactive in approach
- Familiarity with continuous assessment and tracking pupil progress
