Cloud Engineer Onsite TS/SCI Required

Overview
A specialized organization working on sensitive security programs is seeking a Cloud Engineer with deep experience in cloud infrastructure automation and security. This is a full-time onsite role based in San Antonio TX supporting mission-critical systems within a high-security environment.
Candidates with prior experience in federal defense intelligence or contractor-aligned environments will thrive in this role.
Clearance Requirement
Key Responsibilities
-
Design configure test and deploy cloud services (AWS Azure GCP Oracle IBM Cloud) and cloud-hosted platforms such as Office 365
-
Support the deployment of secure data pipelines and web services aligned to modern intelligence and national security workflows
-
Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform CloudFormation Ansible Chef Puppet or SaltStack
-
Implement and maintain cloud environments in compliance with ICD-503 and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
-
Perform regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance and integrity of secure platforms
-
Collaborate on Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) and support secure production rollouts in controlled environments
-
Support the agency s security documentation change control and continuous monitoring needs across cloud services
-
Guide internal and external teams on secure deployment strategies and leveraging enterprise-level cloud services
-
Provide input on Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) and special project evaluations in classified or restricted environments

Support network design and integration across both cloud-native and hybrid infrastructures
Required Experience
-
Hands-on expertise in cloud architecture deployment migration and security with AWS and/or Azure
-
Familiarity with classified cloud environments (e.g. AWS GovCloud Azure Government C2S SC2S)
-
Experience supporting hybrid Windows/UNIX environments
-
Scripting and automation skills in PowerShell Python or equivalent
-
Working knowledge of Office 365 cloud-native networking and Computer Network Defense (CND) principles
-
Exposure to secure big data platforms (e.g. SageMaker EMR)
-
Understanding of multi-security domain operations and cross-domain solutions (CDS)
-
Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications

3 5 years cloud engineering experience
-
Background supporting environments aligned to government defense or critical infrastructure sectors
-
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related technical field
-
Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call rotations if needed
-
U.S. Citizenship
-
Active TS/SCI clearance
Nice to Have

CI Polygraph (active or eligible)

Agile/Scrum environment experience
-
Knowledge of secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC)

Familiarity with Oracle SQL Server MySQL or other enterprise DBs
-
Experience integrating APIs across SaaS on-prem and cloud platforms
