Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Install configure and maintain SQL Server databases across multiple versions (2008 through 2019).
Perform database upgrades patches migrations and version upgrades (with focus on SQL Server 2016 & 2017).
Monitor database performance troubleshoot issues and optimize queries and indexes for efficiency.
Manage database security backup and recovery and disaster recovery planning.
Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions (AlwaysOn clustering log shipping replication).
Collaborate with developers and application teams to support SQL development deployments and data integrations.
Maintain database documentation standards and procedures.
Provide on-call production support as needed.

Must-Have Skills

Minimum 4 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
Extensive knowledge of MS SQL Server 2008/2008 R2/2012/2014/2016/2017/2019.
At least 3 years of experience specifically with SQL Server 2016 & 2017.
Strong expertise in performance tuning query optimization and index strategies.
Experience with backup/recovery clustering AlwaysOn and replication.
Proficiency in T-SQL stored procedures and database design.

Preferred Skills

Experience in enterprise-level environments with large complex databases.
Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation.
Knowledge of Azure SQL or cloud database technologies is a plus.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.

Additional Information

Local candidates only (OH-based) No relocation.
