Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with strong domain expertise in Insurance to facilitate agile delivery across enterprise technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience managing cross-functional teams in insurance product development policy servicing underwriting and claims transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all core Agile ceremonies: sprint planning daily standups sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Manage backlog refinement sprint execution and release planning for insurance applications.
- Track and report team performance metrics (velocity burndown charts sprint outcomes).
- Identify escalate and resolve impediments impacting delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with product owners developers testers and architects to ensure sprint goal alignment.
- Support Agile adoption across insurance programs including underwriting claims and policy administration.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards in the insurance domain.
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives coaching and process optimizations.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Scrum Kanban and Scaled Agile frameworks.
- Proven experience managing agile delivery for insurance technology platforms (policy admin claims processing customer portals).
- Proficiency with Agile tools: Jira Confluence Rally or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to manage cross-team dependencies in complex environments.
- Strong knowledge of insurance workflows and digital servicing models.
- Experience in Agile metrics risk management and dependency tracking.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) SAFe or other Agile certifications.
- Experience leading enterprise digital transformation programs in Life Health or P&C insurance.
- Background in software development or QA in Agile environments.
