Job Title: Control Design Engineer
Charlotte NC
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Control Design Engineer to design and develop control cabinets monitoring and protection systems for power transformers. The role requires strong expertise in device integration communication systems and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop transformer control cabinets and associated systems.
- Integrate monitoring protection and communication devices (DNP3 Modbus IEC 61850).
- Perform electrical design calculations for losses impedances and performance optimization.
- Ensure compliance with IEEE IEC and ANSI standards.
- Collaborate with manufacturing sales and testing teams.
- Support troubleshooting customization and customer-specific requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 6 10 years of experience in control cabinet and transformer design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD ETAP and related tools.
- Strong knowledge of protection systems communication protocols and monitoring devices.
