Job Description
Duration: 6 months with high possibility of long term extension.
Location: Austin TX or Sunnyvale CA (onsite 5x/ week)
Job description
- Design implement and enforce database security policies access controls encryption and auditing mechanisms.
- Monitor database activity for anomalies suspicious access and potential breaches using SIEM and security monitoring tools.
- Securely configure and manage relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle PostgreSQL MySQL MongoDB Open search.).
- Respond to and investigate database security incidents breaches or unauthorized access.
- Maintain and tune logging auditing and monitoring tools for proactive threat detection.
- Collaborate with IT Security and Compliance teams to ensure database environments meet security standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation for policies procedures and secure database configurations.
- Strong scripting skills in Python Bash or PowerShell for automating security tasks.
- Experience with Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools (preferred).
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication.
