Job Description
RN- Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (Rotating Shift)
Location: Sanford FL 32771
Shift: 12-hr Variable Day/Night
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: (Negotiable based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe effective and compassionate nursing care to CVICU patients.
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition.
- Administer medications manage IVs and utilize specialized equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies procedures and regulatory standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the unit.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required.
- Minimum 1 year recent ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Current Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license.
Note: Compact license holders must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation.
Certifications (with timelines):
- Required within 30 days of start:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) AHA Provider issued card
- NIH Stroke Scale
- Required within 6 months of employment start date:
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) OR ACLS Instructor
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) OR PALS Instructor
