Job Summary

RN- Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (Rotating Shift)

Location: Sanford FL 32771
Shift: 12-hr Variable Day/Night
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: (Negotiable based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver safe effective and compassionate nursing care to CVICU patients.
Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition.
Administer medications manage IVs and utilize specialized equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
Ensure compliance with all hospital policies procedures and regulatory standards.
Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the unit.

Required Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required.
Minimum 1 year recent ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Current Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license.

Note: Compact license holders must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation.

Certifications (with timelines):

Required within 30 days of start:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) AHA Provider issued card
- NIH Stroke Scale
Required within 6 months of employment start date:
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) OR ACLS Instructor
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) OR PALS Instructor
