Job Summary
Float Pool RN Medical Surgical (Night Shift)
Location: Gainesville FL 32601
Shift: 12-hr Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: (Negotiable based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Float to various Med-Surg units to provide coverage and maintain patient care standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans.
- Monitor assess and document patient conditions and responses to treatments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures including infection control and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensure:
- Active RN license in the state of Florida or compact RN license.
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg acute care RN experience (within the last 2 years) required.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Other Requirements:
- Flexibility to float to multiple units.
- AHCA Level 2 background screening and fingerprinting required.
