Are you a highly organized and motivated individual with a passion for inventory and logistics A leading player in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Stores Team Leader to take charge of their stores operations and ensure the efficient management of stock staff and systems.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the stores department including receiving storage and dispatch of materials.
Ensure accurate stock control regular cycle counts and full stock takes.
Implement and maintain inventory management systems and ensure proper documentation of all stock movements.
Lead and manage the stores team ensuring optimal performance training and compliance with safety procedures.
Liaise with procurement production and logistics to ensure smooth workflow and availability of materials.
Monitor and maintain housekeeping standards ensuring that the store is clean safe and well-organized.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Matric (Grade 12) is essential; a tertiary qualification in Logistics Supply Chain or Warehousing is advantageous.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar role preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proven team leadership experience and ability to manage people effectively.
Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office ERP systems).
Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
A hands-on approach with a strong commitment to health and safety.
NB: Applicants must have experience working in a fast-paced high-volume production environment. Familiarity with FIFO stock systems and material traceability is highly advantageous.
