SUMMARY
The BIM/VDC Plumbing Designer plays a key role in our construction team contributing to modeling 3D coordination and content preparation. This role requires strong plumbing design skills organization and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced laid-back environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Produce 2D/3D plumbing drawings for field installation and coordinate with other trades.
Attend coordination meetings to resolve clashes while maintaining budget and constructability.
Create shop drawings and cross-sections for fabrication and installation crews.
Assist project management with RFIs and visual aids.
Interpret construction documents across disciplines (architectural structural mechanical etc.).
Collaborate with engineers and project staff to resolve issues and adjust drawings.
Comply with company policies procedures and safety programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience (Design Engineer Path):
High school diploma or equivalent.
10 years as a lead plumbing designer using Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
Experience in healthcare labs sports/entertainment or data centers is a plus.
Familiarity with BIM 360 Glue BIM Collaborate or similar tools preferred.
Strong understanding of plumbing design construction documents and coordination.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to sit stand walk use hands and reach regularly. Vision requirements include viewing computer monitors. Some duties may involve working outdoors in inclement weather and exposure to typical jobsite conditions (dust chemicals noise etc.). Most work is performed in an office environment during business hours.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work may take place in an office construction trailer or jobsite. Travel between sites may be required. Some jobsites may involve working in tunnels on roofs or catwalks.
