Senior Oracle DBA
Contract Length: 12-18 months
Location: Dallas TX (Hybrid 3 days onsite)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Oracle DBA to join a dynamic and fast-paced infrastructure team. This role involves providing Tier 3 support for critical production environments with a strong focus on Oracle 12c/18c/19c Exadata RAC and Data Guard. You will play a key role in performance tuning automation issue resolution and service improvement efforts across a complex enterprise landscape.

Must-Have Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience as an Oracle DBA with deep knowledge of Oracle 12c/18c/19c
- Extensive hands-on experience with Exadata including patching monitoring and performance tuning
- Strong experience in SQL PL/SQL scripting and automation
- Proven expertise in RAC Data Guard OEM13c and backup/recovery (RMAN Data Pump)
- Experience supporting production systems with critical uptime requirements
- Familiarity with Linux/Solaris Veritas Cluster and infrastructure-level troubleshooting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for incident management and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to take ownership of complex issues and deliver scalable long-term solutions
- Experience as a PostgreSQL DBA (installation optimization recovery upgrades) is highly preferred
- Some exposure to DevOps practices and Agile project environments
- Working knowledge of ITSM tools such as JIRA
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Oracle 12c 18c and 19c databases in production and non-production environments
- Manage Exadata environments migrations installations upgrades patching and tuning
- Perform performance optimization using AWR Explain Plan SQL/PLSQL tuning
- Implement and maintain RMAN and Data Pump for backup and recovery strategies
- Configure and support Oracle RAC Data Guard and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM13c)
- Troubleshoot high-severity incidents conduct root cause analysis and drive long-term fixes
- Proactively identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
- Perform database cloning table partitioning and cross-platform data movement
- Collaborate with development and operations teams in Agile/DevOps environments
- Participate in on-call support rotation and critical incident response
