Schedule: Full-Time / Temp-to-Hire/ MondayFriday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (In-person)
Pay:$36400 $39520 annually ($17.50 $19.00 hourly depending on experience)
About the Role
Our Beaumont office is seeking a professional and motivated Area Manager to oversee daily operations and support our delinquent tax collections program. While this role does not involve direct staff supervision it requires strong leadership in coordinating collection activities ensuring compliance with procedures and serving as a liaison between clients taxpayers and public officials. The Area Manager works closely with legal counsel and clients to achieve departmental goals and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
Facilitate and monitor collection program activities including litigation post-judgment and field collections
Review delinquent tax rolls and coordinate mailings with the Tax Assessor-Collector
Order property titles and review documentation prior to suit filings
Maintain and update D-Tax and client systems; generate reports and track collection activity
Assist taxpayers with payment agreements bankruptcy cases and referrals
Support attorneys in litigation processes judgment preparation and foreclosure sales
Communicate and build relationships with the Tax Assessor-Collector District Clerk Sheriffs Department and other public officials
Manage special projects office operations tasks and client communications
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting documentation and financial processes
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
13 years of clerical or administrative experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint)
Valid Texas drivers license insurance and reliable transportation (MVR background check required)
Flexibility to travel (up to 25%)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in government legal or tax office environments
Managerial or supervisory experience
Knowledge of delinquent property taxes or Texas Property Tax Code
Experience with collections systems databases or records management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Important Information
Driving is required for this position (25%)
Clean driving record required; MVR background check will be conducted
During the contracting phase:
If your agency provides auto insurance coverage driving duties begin immediately
If your agency does not provide coverage driving will begin upon conversion to regular employment
