RDC Fulfillment Team Lead 1st Shift

Accountability

Responsibility for coordinating all printing picking packing and loading activities of RDC replenishments on a daily basis. Responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations with an emphasis on leading/coaching the team and implementing action plans to improve the process as needed. Work with production planning and Picking Leads to ensure teams are balanced to manage daily workload.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Team Management

Provide direct daily leadership of team members to ensure the safe clean and efficient operation of the area. Develop and implement work schedules and assignments to ensure tasks are completed properly and efficiently. Build a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that you collaborate with team members team leads and management. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in coaching/mentoring the team. Provide input into performance evaluations recommending promotions wage increases employee development disciplining and terminations.

Operations

Direct and coordinate processes to ensure tasks are executed correctly and in a timely fashion. Ensure incoming and outgoing materials meet Schluter standards. Execute Leader Standard Work including touring the area regularly to answer questions evaluate operations and solve problems.

Equipment

Allocate equipment so that it is utilized in the safest most efficient manner. Coordinate with maintenance manager/IT to ensure that PMs and break fix repairs are prioritized and executed.

Communication

Facilitate and remove barriers; interact with team leads and departmental management to achieve goals; attend planning meetings as required.

Documentation/Reporting

Ensure that all records and reports regarding activities are prepared on a timely basis and effectively maintained. Review operating goals and standards and monitor achievement.

Continuous Improvement

Make recommendations to the Fulfillment Manager/Continuous Improvement leader on process improvements. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives including presenting facilitating culture appropriate team building/energizing data gathering and problem solving.

Safety - Housekeeping

Review operations daily to ensure the area is neat and well organized and that damage to product equipment and the facility is prevented. Ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed. Operate in compliance with Company OSHA and other appropriate standards.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

1-3 years work experience in related field

Must have responsible work habits with an emphasis on safety.

Demonstrated skill in leadership organization and communication.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications Outlook Email INFOR and warehouse systems

Associates Degree a plus but not necessary

Working Conditions:

This position requires walking sitting or standing to a significant degree and lifting up to 50 pounds.
