Job Summary
The Outlets at San Clemente is a premier outlet shopping center that is easily accessible from the i-5 freeway off Avenida Vista Hermosa. The beautiful ocean views provide a gorgeous backdrop to the various events held at the Outlets.
We are currently hiring a Security Supervisor who will take initiative and ensure a safe and positive shopping experience for our employees and shoppers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report directly to the Security Manager and assist in the day-to-day supervision and coordination of security operations.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all current security operations site-specific policies and emergency procedures.
- Provide training guidance and performance feedback to security staff; ensure proper conduct and professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the property including checking post orders and ensuring coverage at all assigned posts.
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies; provide leadership and decision-making in crisis situations.
- Act as a liaison between site management employees visitors and external agencies when necessary.
- Maintain strong working relationships with store managers tenants and other stakeholders within the center.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and review reports submitted by officers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments and management teams to support security initiatives and operational needs.
- Display exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- Perform special assignments or additional duties as directed by the Security Manager or General Manager.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree in criminal justice or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 24 years of experience in security with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
- Strong understanding of security operations risk management and emergency response procedures.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Valid Guard Card per state requirements.
