DescriptionMaintenance Techs repair maintain or replace all HVAC plumbing and electrical components and equipment throughout the facility. Painting drywall patching wall fabric removal/installation ceiling texturing staining finishing in all areas of the building. All work efforts shall be at directed at Maintenance Supervisor discretion.
Communicates with residents and staff prior to repairs being performed that will impact them. Participates on the construction and remodeling team. Works with fire suppression network software program. Must be able to utilize building automation software program and understand building systems along with coordination of building systems
QualificationsA minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Three years experience working in mechanical electrical or painting maintenance. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to prioritize work depending on Charter House departmental needs. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Experience and/or Qualifications:
Two Year Vocational Course in Building Utilities Mechanics or equivalent. Minnesota Maintenance Electricians license or willing to obtain. Universal Refrigeration Certification license or willing to obtain
- Management of Resident Wood shop Charter House wood shop Charter House paint shop and Charter House welding shop including but not limited to equipment maintenance and repair procuring required equipment parts and procuring new equipment.
- Management design and assembly of all required welding initiatives by aluminum MIG Stick and/or TIG welding methodology.
- Investigate design and implement facility maintenance solutions for increased productivity.
- Preventative maintenance and required repair of miscellaneous facility equipment e.g. grounds tractor snow removal equipment utility trailer hydraulic cylinders infrastructure components etc.
Assist in investigation and troubleshooting of complex maintenance and/or facility infrastructure issues
