For our QC DepartmentinMade North Brabantwe are looking for a

Seed Health Lab Technician

(1 year temporary full time)

In this role you will be responsible for performing the routine tests for the seed health. This includes performing ELISAs qPCRs and microbiological work (making media-plates culturing methods and counting CFUs). Also the preparations of buffers planning when to run which tests and supporting the development and validation of new protocols are part of the job.

Additional responsibilities:

Planning and control:

• Organize the daily and short-term planning and logistics of health tests and monitor the progress

• Organize the intake and planning of samples

• Monitor progress and update and discuss with manager

Execution:

• Organize and perform sample preparations

• Test execution according to protocols

• Reporting results in LIMS system

• Buffer/agar media preparations inventory management and assist in QC with other activities

• Signaling errors within health tests (machinery test quality leadtimes/delays safety) to manager or back-up

• Comply with company guidelines

• Freedom to operate (autonomous execution but no final responsibility)

• Quality: Perform tests according to work instructions and comply with set guidelines

• Safety Health & Environment: Pay attention to health and safety work according to the safety guidelines (MSDS) and act upon safety risks

Candidate profile:

• Experience in microbiological work and/or molecular techniques (ELISA qPCR) basic lab knowledge and work accurately.

• Learning orientation focused on quality and results
