JOB DESCRIPTION
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in sample obtaining and processing.
- Conduct RNA expression studies including data analyses.
- Conduct cell culture-based experiments.
- Conduct Luminex- and ELISA-based protein quantification assyas.
- Conduct platelet characterization by cytometry.
- Conduct in RT-Quick/SAA.
- Conduct data analyses interpret the results present and discuss them.
- Draft manuscripts.
- Participate in updating and maintaining laboratory databases.
- Laboratory management (availability and readiness of laboratory materials and reagents)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
- Master in Science with special focus in molecular and cellular biology and/or neuroscience.
- Been accepted in a PhD program.
- Working experience of at least 24 months in research.
- Strong experience in molecular biology techniques (DNA and RNA isolation RNA quantification PCR and genotyping).
- Experience in sample handling and processing cell culture (astrocytes microglia) protein quantification (Luminex ELISA) cytometry RT-Quick/SAA and confocal microscopy and image analyses.
- Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge in databases (good knowledge of excel required) and R studio and data analysis.
- Poster presentation in at least one international congress/conference.
- Advanced level in spoken and written English.
- To be able to work independently and take initiative.
- Take an active part of the team.
- Be accurate and have a strong feeling of responsibility.
- Be perseverant and have a strong ambition to learn.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Indefinite contract (Science Law 14/2011).
- Full time contract.
- Starting October 15th 2025
- Gross annual remuneration inherent in the position covered by this call will be set according to the amount awarded for the grant awarded distributed in 12 payments.

About us
The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.
The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus. IGTP is a CERCA centre and is also accredited as a centre of excellence by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and is in charge of coordinating the management and scientific strategy of the campus working in close collaboration with the other centres.
