If so the staff and volunteer development team within Iowa State University Extension and Outreach 4-H Youth Development is seeking applicants for a 4-H Volunteer Specialist! This position will be classified as a Program Specialist II.
What Youll Do:
Develop policies and procedures for the implementation of the statewide 4-H volunteer management system
Design and develop in-person virtual and on-demand learning experiences for adult learners
Create relevant resources to support 4-H volunteer engagement
Assist with risk management practices pertinent to 4-H volunteers
Engage with 4-H colleagues in other states on multi-state program efforts
The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership abilities and possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with others and connect with targeted audiences and programs. This position requires skills related to program assessment planning implementation and evaluation along with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and volunteers within an organized volunteer management system and youth development program. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for success in this role.
Occasional travel will be involved in this role.
This is a fixed term position with an end date of 6/30/2028 with the opportunity for renewal.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
