Overview
The Maintenance Mechanic/Technicianis a full-time position that is responsible for various maintenance functions including overseeing preventative maintenance troubleshooting equipment issues repairing equipment and the occasional emergency fix that is needed. Each job is worked on to maximize plant efficiency.
Duties and responsibilities
- Machine maintenance breaking down equipment when needed helping to adjust and set up equipment for daily production.
- Overseeing preventative maintenance which includes daily and weekly inspections of all machinery.
- Light plumbing electrical welding and carpentry when needed
- Work with the Maintenance Manager to recommend machine upgrades to boost efficiency
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Experience with food packaging machines is required. Examples: Multivac Tray Sealers Multivac Thermoformers Weber (high-speed) Slicers and other equipment
- Experience with process equipment such as Weber Slicers Pick and Pack Automation is required
- Advanced mechanical and electrical skills
- Able to read engineering schematics such as electrical mechanical plumbing hydraulic and pneumatic
- Experienced in HVAC a plus
- Pneumatic Equipment
- Excellent communication skills.
- Work in a refrigerated environment
