Qualifications:
- NYS certification as a School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS)
- Strong professional background in Special Education
- Knowledge of NYS Part 200 Regulations and IEP development
- Familiarity with positive behavior supports (e.g. TCIS) preferred
- Strong collaboration communication and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise special education programs staff and students across assigned sites
- Ensure compliance with IEP processes and state/federal regulations (Part 200)
- Create a safe inclusive and equitable school culture for all learners
- Collaborate with component district administrators to support student placement and progress
- Guide instructional practices that meet diverse student needs
- Recruit support and evaluate staff using effective feedback and supervision practices
- Foster meaningful engagement with families districts and community partners
- Promote professional learning and staff development aligned with best practices
- Oversee daily operations scheduling and data-driven decision-making
- Lead school improvement initiatives with a focus on continuous growth and student success
Additional Requirements:
- Travel between school sites may be required
