McKenzie Valve is looking for a safety-conscious candidate that is willing to learn and grow with the business. This is a role where you will work in a TEAM environment where safety always comes first.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Follow the WPS as specified on the applicable job card weld plates together using FCAW and GTAW
Locate material verify grade size and quantity by visual inspection and physically measuring material
Troubleshoot routine process problems
Maintain work area in an organized safe and clean manner
Assist in other areas of the facility as needed
Posses Mechanical Aptitude
Posses basic reading writing and mathematical skills
Must be available to work any shift
Able to work within a teamwork environment with regular and predictable attendance
Able to pass all pre-employment requirements
SKILLS/SPECIFICATIONS:
Ability to demonstrate welding skills in the 12 & 3 F positions and 12 & 3 G positions using GTAW and FCAW
Ability to safely operate a lift truck up to 40000-pound lift capacity
Ability to safely operate hand tools such as grinder hammer wrench and pry bar
Basic reading writing and mathematics skills
Ability to read blueprints drawings and standard measurements
Previous work experience in an industrial environment
