The ideal candidate will lead the planning prioritization and delivery of FAA surveillance systems this role you willown the product backlog collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure that surveillance system modernization effortssuch asradar ADS-B and cooperative surveillance technologiesare aligned with FAA mission position offers an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth experience in federal contracting while supporting high-visibility aviation programs.

In this position you will:

• Serve as theprimary product ownerfor the FAA surveillance workstream managing backlog priorities and roadmap.

• Partner with stakeholders engineers and FAA leadership tocapture requirements and define user stories.

• Develop and maintain aclear product vision and strategyfor surveillance system modernization.

• Facilitatebacklog grooming sprint planning and release prioritizationwith Agile delivery teams.

• Ensure system designs align withFAA standards safety requirements and NextGen initiatives.

• Collaborate with system engineers safety leads and test engineers tovalidate delivered capabilities.

• Provide regularstatus updates metrics and recommendationsto FAA leadership.

• Ensure workstream deliverables areintegrated into broader FAA modernization programs.

• Managedependencies and risksacross multiple subcontractors and technical teams.

• Championuser needs safety priorities and mission-critical outcomesin all planning activities.

• serve as thevoice of the customer and FAA stakeholders translating requirements into actionable user stories and ensuring delivery teams producehigh-value safety-critical solutions.

• Experience working withcontractors subcontractors and technical integrators.

• Ability to define and trackkey performance indicators (KPIs)for product outcomes.

• Experience balancingoperational safety and technical priorities.

Basic Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelors degree and 12 years of experience; or Masters degree and 10 years; or Associates degree and 14 years experience; or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience.
• Experience in product ownership program management or systems engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in Agile product ownership (scrum SAFe or equivalent).
• Strong background with surveillance systems (radar ADS-B cooperative surveillance or related technologies).
• Strong skills in requirements gathering backlog management and prioritization.
• Experience with risk management trade studies and decision analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct FAA or NAS configuration management experience.

• Knowledge ofFAA Safety Management System (SMS)principles and safety integration practices.

• Familiarity withFAA acquisition processes AMS standards and system certification requirements.

• Professional certifications such asCertified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager or PMP.

• Experience withFAA NextGen modernization programsand NAS surveillance dependencies.

• Background inair traffic management systems cooperative surveillance or avionics integration.

• Familiarity withfederal cybersecurity and Zero Trust requirementsas they apply to surveillance systems.

• Experience contributing tofederal aviation policies advisory boards or industry standards.

• Strong understanding ofsystem interoperability and integration challengesin NAS modernization.
