RN Clinical Coordinator Primary Care-Community Corners

The Clinical Coordinator performs coordinates and supervises clinical functions for the practice. Collaborates as needed with other health care disciplines to meet the needs of the patient and/or family. Demonstrates and promotes the organizations philosophy of excellent customer service and high quality care. The Clinical Coordinator acts as the patients advocate manages supplies and equipment and promotes teamwork with staff providers and personnel in other departments. The Nurse practices in accordance with Cayuga Medical Associates Clinical Policies and Procedures and
operates within the scope of practice established by the New York State Office of the Professions. Maintains performance improvement (PI) activities within the department and participates in PI activities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Performs professional nursing care in accordance with NYS Nursing Practice Act
- Carries out all assigned nursing procedures while maintaining a calm and profession demeanor during emergent situations
- Provides patient education as requested provider
- Prepares patient record for visit including but not limited to chart prep and nurse note documentation
- Participates in scheduled team meetings to discuss clinical roles processes and patient concerns
- Works well with members of the team to achieve patient centered care as well as quality by implementing best practice standards
- Facilitates cooperation with different CMA practice sites and Departments.
- The shifts for the RN position Monday-Friday between 7am-5pm.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Graduation from accredited RN program
- Current NYS licensure as a registered nurse
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of medical insurance carriers and how to obtain prior authorization
- Knowledge and ability to perform manual blood pressure checks
- BLS or obtained during orientation
Physical Requirements:
- Standing-70%
- Sitting-30%
- Reaching-50%
- Lifting-must be able to lift 40 lbs
Location and Travel Requirements:
- Onsite-1020 Craft Road Suite C
Pay Range Disclosure:
- $79040 to $93600 per year
