HR Assistant
Were looking for an organised and approachable HR Assistant to join a well-established business in Scarborough. Whether you have HR experience have supported HR duties in an admin role or recently completed your CIPD this is a great opportunity to develop your career. The role offers a salary of up to 25000 with flexible hours available either part-time (21 hours Wednesday Thursday and Friday) or full-time (25 hours Monday to Friday). Youll be office-based with free on-site parking good public transport links and opportunities for gradual progression at a pace that suits you.
Key Duties:
As HR Assistant youll work closely with the HR Manager to provide comprehensive support across all areas of HR. Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as first line support for general HR queries ensuring accurate and timely advice.
- Attending off-site meetings where HR representation is required.
- Interpreting and applying HR policies escalating issues where needed.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential HR records in line with data protection principles.
- Supporting with HR-related documentation including contracts of employment.
- Assisting with recruitment administration advertising screening and occasionally supporting interviews.
- Recording sickness absence and holidays within the HR system.
- Inputting employee data accurately into HR systems.
- Supporting with policy updates and HR projects.
- Taking responsibility for your own professional development to stay current with employment legislation and HR best practice.
About You:
- Prior HR experience admin experience with HR elements or CIPD-qualified and eager to move into a HR role.
- Local to Scarborough and happy to work fully office-based.
- Comfortable working at pace in a traditional office environment.
- Strong administration and organisation skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Discreet professional and confident handling confidential information.
