We are seeking aVDI Architectto join our team in Brussels.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic studies:
- Execution of architecture and technology studies considering all aspects related to architecture and technology decisions such as but not limited to user requirements evolution of technology and standards as well as aspects related to ergonomics ecological footprint availability scalability maintainability evolution installation migration operations finance
- Definition preparation and execution of tests or proofs of concept
- Design and implementation of new management and security policies
- Capacity planning based on usage history and forecasts
- Writing of technical specifications
- Support to the assessment of technical quality of offers
- Migration planning and supervision
- Inspection and quality assurance during deployment
- Assessment of performance of solutions; recommendations for improvement
- In relation to information systems: database implementation customisation and parameterisation prototyping and programming testing and quality control support training and documentation
- Elaboration of end users documentation
Required Skills & Experience:
In the field of Virtual Desktop infrastructure:
- Certified knowledge of technology around virtual desktop technologies and specifically EUC - Horizon. Technical certification delivered by technology supplier will be highly appreciated
- Excellent knowledge of the norms and standards of industry trends and of state-of-the-art implementation examples
- Experience in projects related to VDI infrastructure implementations based on VMware Horizon solutions with practical implementations such as architecture and technology selection installation configuration test operations
- Experience with practical implementations: architecture and technology selection installation configuration test operations
- Expertise in securing VDI infrastructure increasing manageability and improving user experience
Other requirements:
- EU Citizenship.
- Resident or available to relocate to Belgium.
