Proficiency in a high-level programming language such as Python or Go with a passion for writing clean elegant code.
A solid foundation in computer science fundamentals including data structures algorithms and software design principles.
Foundational knowledge of networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP DNS HTTP) and a desire to learn more.
Experience with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
An analytical mindset and a data-driven approach to solving complex problems.
Currently pursuing a Bachelors Masters or PhD in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Expected graduation between June 2026 and June 2027.
Initiative and a proven ability to drive projects whether in an academic personal or professional setting.
Curiosity demonstrated through personal projects hackathons or self-directed learning.
Experience with any form of distributed systems cloud computing or infrastructure automation.
Previous internship experience in software engineering or a related field is a plus.
Comfort with ambiguity and excitement about learning technologies not typically covered in university courses.
Strong analytical thinking and a data-driven mindset.
Exceptional collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas simply.
Understanding or interests in core network protocols (BGP OSPF MPLS) Internet peering optical networking technologies (WDM) network monitoring technologies (snmp gNMI)
