Position Summary:

The Material Operator is responsible for controlling the flow of material within the Manufacturing Operations department and ensuring that material is where it needs to be for the Manufacturing team to be addition to providing a systematic flow of materials from receiving to the manufacturing floor the Material Operator is responsible for preparing daily shipments and picking service part orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain inventory by identifying labeling and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory
• Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units
• Responsible for the day to day replenishment of the production lines and kits
• Decanting of material to ensure that cardboard is not being stored on the Manufacturing floor
• Production line replenishment through Kanban-related systems
• Daily purchase order receipts
• Coordinating daily UPS shipments
• Packing and preparing skid shipments
• Stock picking for service part orders
• Receipt of credit-return material and supplies from production
• Receipt and verification of RMA material

Skills and Qualifications:

• 2 years of related experience is required
• High attention to detail
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Experienced with inventory management systems
• Knowledge of material handling best practices
• Proven ability with material handling and kitting
