Montus Event Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and delivering the engagement strategy for Health Care Practitioners (HCPs) across Australia. Our Event Manager is responsible for identifying planning and delivering an event calendar that supports the overall strategic goals for Montu Brands and the Medical Relations team.
The role requires someone with exceptional event management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst delivering in a fast-paced dynamic work environment. Areas of responsibility include conceptualisation & delivery of Clinical education events Product launches Conferences and Symposiums. Responsibilities include;
Event Planning
- Develop and execute event strategies that support commercial objectives including; medical and product education thought leadership and scientific exchange.
- Conceptualise innovative approaches to increase HCP engagement and educational impact.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activity across the HCP space.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with internal cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across commercial and regulatory functions.
- Manage relationships with healthcare professionals patient advocacy groups and key opinion leaders (KOLs) alongside Medical Relations and Marketing leadership.
- Lead pre and post event briefings with key stakeholders to ensure seamless running of the event.
- Partner with external agencies venues and vendors
- Provide on-site leadership for events ensuring operational excellence.
Logistics & Operations
- Organise venues travel and accommodations in line with corporate policy.
- Manage speaker arrangements honoraria and contracts.
- Work cross-functionally to oversee digital event platforms for webinars hybrid meetings or virtual congresses.
- Prepare detailed run sheets briefing packs and contingency plans.
- Manage registrations and attendee communications
Event Communications
- Develop the events advertising and communications strategy with internal creative teams including; acquisition campaigns invitations post event engagement.
- Support the development and execution of promotional materials
- Support scientific content delivery (slide decks abstracts posters) ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and regulatory requirements.
Reporting & Evaluation
- Analyse event metrics attendance trends and engagement data to optimise future events and reporting
- Collect attendee feedback measure event KPIs and report ROI.
- Run post event debriefs.
- Document all spend transfers of value and HCP interactions for compliance reporting.
- Provide insights and recommendations for future events.
Budget & Vendor Management
- Maintain accurate documentation for auditing purposes.
- Negotiate with suppliers while ensuring compliance with hospitality limits.
- Manage agency partners for production AV and logistics.
Compliance & Regulatory Management
- Ensure all events comply with regulations and codes of conduct (TGA APHRA).
- Manage transparency reporting obligations for HCP interactions.
- Obtain necessary approvals from internal Medical Legal and Regulatory Affairs teams.
- Monitor event activities to ensure ethical standards are maintained.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years experience delivering events ideally within healthcare.
- Exceptional project vendor and live event management skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with experience managing multiple priorities and projects.
- A good understanding of healthcare industry regulations and requirements.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with digital and social media platforms
- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
