Job Summary:
As a Parts Specialist at American Truck Centers youll play a crucial role in helping customers and service technicians find the right parts for Class 6 7 and 8 trucks. Youll manage inventory process orders and deliver exceptional customer service to keep our customers trucks on the road. Whether youre experienced or eager to learn we welcome anyone with a strong work ethic and a passion for trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers and service technicians in identifying and ordering parts for Class 6-8 trucks
- Recommend the best parts and products based on customer needs
- Keep accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock levels
- Process parts orders returns and exchanges in a timely manner
- Work with vendors and suppliers to check availability and secure pricing
- Ensure timely delivery of parts to customers and service teams
- Maintain a clean organized parts storage area
- Handle customer inquiries over the phone and online with a friendly professional attitude
- Collaborate with the service department to meet customer needs efficiently
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a parts department preferably in the truck or automotive industry but willing to train the right candidate
- Familiarity with inventory management software or basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks at once
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy parts as required
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
