About the role Mō te tūranga:
We are currently seeking a dedicated enthusiastic and skilled Medical Laboratory Scientists or Technicians to join our Anatomical Pathology team. This is a permanent full-time position of 80 hours fortnightly.
You will be eager to develop new skills and adapt to the specialized environment of anatomical pathology working effectively both independently and collaboratively. Highly organized detail-focused and approachable with a strong commitment to quality and patient care. The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional accuracy strong analytical abilities and the initiative to thrive in this precise and demanding role.
About you He kōrero mōu
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- A team focus with initiative excellent interpersonal and communication skills and possess the ability to work in a fast paced deadline-oriented environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with good record keeping skills.
- The ability to work independently while in a supported role.
- Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician.
- Flexibility with your working hours will be invaluable to the team.
- A sound knowledge of laboratory operations including safety operation of equipment and hands-on practical Histology experience in a Laboratory preferred.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
If you do not yet have your registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand we will also consider candidates who are in the process of becoming qualified.
