The New Acland Coal Mine (NAC) a thin seam open cut mining operation is owned and managed by New Hope Group. Based in Acland a short drive north-west of Toowoomba NAC has played a key role in the Darling Downs region as an employer and economic contributor since it began operation in October 2002.

About the roles:
As NAC continues to grow we are now seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters (Diesel Fitting Trade) to join the Mobile Maintenance Team on a permanent full-time basis. Working a 7/7 day / night rotating roster and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the Mobile Maintenance Diesel Fitter plays a pivotal role in performing safe & effective mobile machinery maintenance and delivering machine availability targets.
What you will do:
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance activities on a wide range of Caterpillar Hitachi & LeTourneau heavy earthmoving machinery
- Conduct machine rebuilds across the mining fleet
- Diagnostics and fault finding to determine developing issues & existing problems
- Ensure the workplace cleanliness is always kept to a high standard
- Comply with New Hope Groups Health Safety and Environmental procedures at all times
To be considered for these opportunities you will bring:
- Diesel Fitting Trade Qualifications
- Current coal board medical and Standard 11 Induction (Or willing to obtain)
- Experience with Caterpillar Hitachi and Letourneau machines preferable
- Queensland drivers licence(manual)
- Experience with computer-based maintenance systems (desirable)

- High attention to detail and precision in executing tasks
- Ability to work well as a team and independently
- Ability to undergo and pass a coal board medical
- Ability to work a rotating 7/7 day / night roster including weekends and night shift
- The ability to contribute to and work as part of team in a fast-paced environment
