We provide a safe flexible and caring family-style environment which allows residents to maintain their chosen lifestyles habits and activities and to be as independent as they choose to be.

Your new role

We are currently seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our friendly and dynamic team at Eunice Seddon Residential Aged Care Home on a Casual basis. This role is ideal for someone who believes in dignity for all values inclusion and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older peopleespecially those who have experienced disadvantage or housing insecurity. Your fortnightly roster will be determined by ad-hoc opportunities to offer relief to the team with flexibility to support residents when they need it most.

Your responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Supporting residents with personal care including hygiene dressing grooming and other daily living activitiesalways with respect and empathy.
  • Observing and reporting changes in residents behaviour or physical condition to ensure timely and appropriate care.
  • Liaising with medical practitioners pharmacists and health services to advocate for residents health and wellbeing.
  • Assisting in the implementation of cigarette and alcohol programs supporting residents autonomy while promoting safety.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • A strong commitment to social justice inclusion and person-centred care.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently with initiative and compassion.
  • Certificate III/IV in Aged Care/Individual Support.
  • Prior experience in housing & homelessness support aged care welfare disability support mental health or community/home care.
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to care.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly non-judgmental attitude.
  • A genuine desire to enhance or maintain residents independence and lifestyle choices.
