In this position

• Category Management team members interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that Category Strategies represent the full potential value for the company maintain key supplier relationships and provide guidance to Category Execution teams managing global regional and local sourcing events.
• Your roll will develop support and implement category strategies for Brake commodities to optimize cost quality resilience and supplier performance.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and develop strategies to secure competitive pricing quality delivery and mitigate risk.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Support the Brake Team in training and development data organization process improvements and benchmarking initiatives.
• Accountable to work closely with others to meet deadlines with excellence; drive others to deliver required materials on time and with quality.

• Master Category Strategy Development:
• Supplier negotiation support:
  • Provides sourcing project oversight and supplier negotiation support
• Other Responsibilities:
  • Manages non-sourcing category-related initiatives
• Spearheads the development and updates of Master Category Strategies
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide sourcing solutions that align with business goals.
• Monitor market trends industry developments and relevant material indices to identify opportunities for cost savings and product improvements.
• Analyze and report on key performance indicators such as cost savings supplier quality supplier resiliency and supplier delivery.
• Business Engagement responsibilities:
  • Interfaces with organization to assess business needs and project requests
  • Ensures organizational awareness of Category Strategy associated projects and associated timeline
  • Engages with Ford Customer Service Division & Advanced Engineering to ensure consistency and continuity in strategy development
  • Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and ethical standards in all sourcing activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance overall procurement efficiency.

Youll have...

• Bachelors degree in business supply chain management engineering or a related field.
• 7 years of experience in procurement and sourcing preferably within Underbody and Brake commodities.
• Direct or indirect experience in Brake commodities
• Deep category management process expertise
• Ability to influence senior executives to drive decision-making
• Persuasive and convincing communication skills (e.g. proposals reports plans) to secure commitment from business leaders
• Ability to develop and successfully execute negotiations strategy
• High degree of trust and maintain strong relationships with Skill Team / regional leadership
• Strong data & analytics understanding (e.g. complex modeling presentation storyboarding skills data analytics)
• Ability to interpret organization needs and commercial strategies as input into global Category Strategies
• Knowledge of sourcing best practices and industry trends.
