Job Description
PPG Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Content Specialist to join our Digital/IT Content Team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing content migrations to our Customer Digital Experience (CDE) platform and ensuring content accuracy consistency and alignment with brand standards. This role requires strong content governance skills a solid understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute content migration projects to the CDE platform and ensuring seamless transfer and integrity of content.
- Implement and enforce content governance standards for all new pages created on digital platforms maintaining consistency with PPGs brand voice and style guidelines.
- Collaborate with digital marketing IT and business stakeholders to review edit and optimize content for clarity accuracy and SEO performance.
- - Conduct SEO audits and apply SEO best practices to improve content visibility and search engine rankings.
- Monitor and report on content performance metrics providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of digital content trends SEO algorithms and content management systems.
- Support the development and maintenance of content inventories and documentation related to content governance and migration processes.
- Assist in training and guiding content creators and contributors on content standards and SEO principles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Communications Marketing Digital Media or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in content management digital content migration or a similar role within a corporate or agency environment.
- Proven experience with content migration projects preferably involving enterprise content management systems or digital experience platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SEO principles tools and techniques with a track record of applying SEO strategies to enhance content performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with content governance frameworks and best practices.
- Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) digital asset management (DAM) tools and SEO analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics Conductor).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving content-related issues.
