Special Education Teacher

We are seeking aSpecial Education Teacherto join a school districts team for the2025-2026 school yearin theGreenwood South Carolina area. All applicants must be licensed Special Education Teacher in the state of South Carolina as well as hold or be eligible to obtain an SC Educator Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Provide instruction in a variety of subjects while adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Collaborate with parents teachers and specialists to support students educational and emotional development.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Special Education
• South Carolina Special Education Teacher License/Certification
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience is preferred
