Leven Baking Company in Houston TX is looking for a full-time/part-time dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen ensuring that all dishware cookware and utensils are sanitized and ready for use in our warehouse. The ideal candidate will work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Dishwashing:
- Wash and sanitize all dishes utensils and cookware using commercial dishwashing equipment and/or by hand.
- Sort and organize cleaned items for proper storage.
Kitchen Maintenance:
- Keep dishwashing area clean and organized throughout the shift.
- Remove trash and dispose of it properly; replace garbage liners.
- Sweep and mop floors in the dishwashing and kitchen areas as needed.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Monitor dishwashing machine for proper operation and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Refill dishwashing chemicals and ensure proper usage.
Team Support:
- Assist kitchen staff with light prep work or other tasks as directed during slower periods.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Dishwasher Qualifications / Skills:
- Customer service
- English is a plus but not necessary
- Planning and multi-tasking
- Self-motivated with a high energy level
- Verbal communication
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds stand for long periods and work in a hot humid environment.
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
Education Experience and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Hospitality-related kitchen experience preferred
- Current food handlers card and other certification as required by federal/state/local law
