Job Summary
Position Summary:
The Student Intern will support the mission of the Community Empowerment Center by assisting with family engagement resource distribution and maintaining a welcoming and professional environment. This role is ideal for students interested in education social services or community development.
Essential Duties:
Greet visitors and assist with intake and reception tasks.
Interact with young children accompanying their families; help them find books and toys and read to them.
Assist families in accessing school supplies hygiene items food and other resources from the Family Resource Room.
Support enrollment services by helping families navigate forms and documentation.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to propose ideas for improving services and outreach.
Help maintain a clean organized and professional work environment.
Assist with workshops classes and community events as needed.
Provide translation or interpretation support (if applicable).
Collaborate with RCPS staff and community partners to ensure smooth service delivery.
