UI Developer
Johnson Controls is searching for a UI Developerto design build and create innovative and intuitive experiences for the customer portal which will be built on Salesforce and other enterprise systems. UI developers will work with backend developers to ensure smooth data integration and functionality between the front-end and the backend.
What you do
As a UI Developeryou will be creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for websites and applications by translating designs into code primarily using HTML CSS and will take UI/UX designs and translate them into actual functional code ensuring the user experience and visual appeal are maintained.
How will you do it
- Develop and implement user-friendly responsive web and mobile interfaces using HTML CSS JavaScript and relevant framework
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to understand and translate their visual concepts into functional code and coordinate with backend developers for seamless integration.
- Optimize applications for speed scalability and overall functionality across various screen sizes and devices.
- Conduct user interface and usability testing to gather feedback identify issues and ensure designs are rendered correctly.
- Ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency are maintained throughout the interface.
- Validate the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and provide input on potential solutions.
- Create functional documentation and guidelines for the team.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends in industry and technologies in front-end development and UI design
- Collaboration and teamwork.
- Strong communication skills to gather client feedback and work with cross-functional teams.

What we look for
Required:
- Completed a bachelors degree (BA or BS) or advanced degree program.
- 5 years of UI Developer role.
- Experience as a UI/UX developer or web developer.

- HTML/CSS-Responsive design Flexbox/Grid
- JavaScript-Async/await modules error handling
- Frameworks-Component lifecycle state management
- Version Control-Branching pull requests conflict resolution
- Design Tools-Design tokens component libraries
- Testing-Jest Cypress mocking APIs
- Accessibility (a11y)-ARIA roles screen reader testing
- Performance-Code splitting memorization
- API Integration-Axios error handling pagination
- Soft Skills-Communication agile participation
Mandatory skill set which we are looking are:
- Expertise in Salesforce suite
- Expert in building LWC components
- Hands on experience in building UI by coordinating with UI/UX designers
