Our client is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join their team and play a pivotal role in delivering solutions that matter. About the role

As a senior engineer youll balance hands-on technical work with leadership and project management responsibilities. Youll be trusted to deliver solutions end-to-end while also guiding junior engineers and coordinating internal resources.

Your work will sit squarely in the water and wastewater industry an essential sector that directly impacts communities every day. If you bring experience from oil & gas or other complex industries this is your chance to apply that expertise in a field where your work has a direct and lasting impact.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design and delivery of electrical and control system solutions.
• Developing testing and commissioning PLC SCADA and HMI systems.
• Overseeing project delivery including people and resource management.
• Mentoring and supporting graduate and junior engineers.
• Translating complex client challenges into practical engineering outcomes.
• Acting as a trusted advisor in client-facing roles.

What were looking for

• RPEQ (or eligibility for RPEQ).
• Proven experience in control systems engineering water/wastewater experience preferred; oil & gas highly regarded.
• Full Australian working rights (sponsorship not available).
• Strong client-facing communication skills with a collaborative approach.
• A balance of confidence and humility able to stand by your expertise but also willing to admit mistakes and grow.
• Leadership qualities: able to mentor others and coordinate project teams.
• A problem-solver who thrives on delivering practical outcomes.
