About the Job

Pines Ford Lincoln a Malo Automotive Group dealership has an opportunity for a full time employee as a Parts Counterperson.

Ours is a customer oriented field and requires a person who can relate to our customers needs and offer professional assistance to help them resolve their parts concerns.

Job Purpose

Sell automotive parts by taking and clarifying customer orders; retrieving and selling new and replacement automotive parts; receiving and recording new parts inventory; maintaining parts databases; maintaining a safe and secure work environment.

Duties include some or all of the following

Takes customer orders by listening to and clarifying customers automotive parts requests identifying customers automotive parts needs and offering and explaining alternative solutions.

Complete the sales process by entering purchased items into sales/inventory system and issuing sales receipts or adding purchases to a credit account invoice.

Maintain parts inventory accuracy by verifying sales and accurately completing open orders.

Monitor inventory status and reporting discrepancies to management.

Stock items by unpacking arranging and placing items in bins and on shelves.

Receives returned items by inspecting items returning payment issuing credit

re-packing and re-shelving items and/or returning items to the supplier.

Maintain safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards and procedures and complying with all company policies.

Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities staying abreast of new products and maintaining a required level of manufactures certification.

All employees must strive to maintain a cohesive work environment while expanding their knowledge and training to accomplish a greater level of work experience and personal value.
