Are you a Mechanical Engineering student looking for real-world design and project experience Ethos Internship Programme offers you the opportunity to rotate across teams within our Engineering Studio working on live client projects under the guidance of senior engineers and a dedicated buddy. This rotation model ensures you gain exposure to a variety of building services disciplines equipping you with the technical and professional skills needed for your future career in the industry.
At Ethos interns are integral to the team. You will apply your university knowledge to practical situations contribute to real projects and learn directly from industry leaders all within a collaborative people-focused culture where your ideas and input are valued.

Experience & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong academic performance in relevant coursework.
- This role is hybrid requiring candidates to be based in Ireland with mandatory attendance in our Dublin office three (3) times a week.
- Previous placement or project experience in building services is beneficial but not required.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the design analysis and documentation of mechanical systems for building projects including HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Rotate across different groups within the Engineering Studio to gain broad exposure to multidisciplinary building services projects.
- Conduct technical research and analysis to support engineering decisions and sustainability initiatives.
- Assist in preparing technical drawings reports and design documentation using industry-standard tools.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with CIBSE ASHRAE BS IS and EN standards.
- Attend project meetings training sessions and workshops to develop your technical and professional skills.
- Visit project sites to observe installations inspections and commissioning activities gaining hands-on field experience.
- Contribute to the development of sustainable and energy-efficient mechanical systems.
Key Activities
- Participate in mechanical design and analysis activities including HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems.
