Job Description

We are currently recruiting a qualified Senior Audit Associate on behalf of a top 20 accountancy practice with national presence and international reach. This leading firm offers high-quality audit tax advisory and consulting services to clients in the Midlands and beyond supported by a collaborative inclusive culture.

Role Overview:

  • Responsible for delivering client-based assignments ensuring audit work and reports are of exceptional standard.

  • Lead and coach audit team members manage client relationships and contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the audit business unit.

  • Opportunity to participate in advisory projects for both audit and non-audit clients.

Role Requirements:

  • ACA ACCA or CA qualified (essential).

  • Significant auditing and accounting experience ideally with UKGAAP.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel.

  • Genuine commitment to client service and achieving results.

  • Enthusiasm for professional development and career progress.

People Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate commitment to individual and team success showing initiative and proactive attitude.

  • Participate in service line office and wider firm activities.

Client Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary contact for clients communicating effectively via written and verbal exchanges.

  • Assist in planning executing and concluding all areas of the audit assignment for manager/partner review highlighting issues and proposing solutions.

  • Understand and manage risk at every stage following firm policies and regulatory standards.

  • Identify opportunities to improve client business processes and help prepare Audit Findings Reports.

  • Monitor progress against audit budgets and liaise with relevant teams as needed.

Desired Qualities:

  • Ability to work with efficiency and deliver outstanding service drawing on the full capability of the firm to support clients.

  • Serve as a role model for junior colleagues providing coaching and guidance.

  • Adhere to risk management policies and consistently deliver high-quality outputs.

  • Demonstrate solid understanding and application of UKGAAP including technical analysis and interpretation of financial data.

  • Effectively manage audit fieldwork and liaise across departments for smooth client delivery.
