Job Summary

Midlevel to Senior Labor Employment and Workplace Safety Associate Raleigh NC

Our client a leading international law firm is seeking a Midlevel to Senior Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its Labor Employment and Workplace Safety (LEWS) practice in the Raleigh office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to advance their career by working on a diverse range of complex employment matters within a collaborative and dynamic team environment.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will have substantive experience advising litigating and investigating employment and labor issues along with drafting and reviewing employment-related documents.

Key Responsibilities:

Advise clients on a variety of employment and labor law issues
Handle employment litigation and internal investigations
Draft and review employment policies and agreements including:
- Offer letters
- Employment agreements
- Restrictive covenant agreements
- Employee handbooks and employment policies
- Separation agreements
Provide legal counsel on the employment aspects of business transactions including mergers and acquisitions
Work independently and collaboratively within teams to manage client relationships and case strategy

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
36 years of experience handling employment counseling litigation and workplace investigations
Strong knowledge of federal state and local labor and employment laws
Experience advising on employment issues in corporate transactions (preferred)
Excellent legal writing research and oral communication skills
Strong academic credentials
Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Admission to practice in North Carolina or ability to waive in

Compensation:

Base salary range: $200000 $275000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
