Job Summary
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team that makes a variety of products to fit clients needs. The ideal candidate will have five years of shop work with various fabricating techniques tools and metals.
Tasks
- Analyze blueprints and specifications: Study blueprints sketches or building plans to determine project layout and required materials.
- Measure and mark dimensions: Accurately measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets.
- Cut and shape metal: Operate machinery such as shears drills punches and brake presses to cut and shape material.
- Assemble components: Fasten seams and joints using welds bolts rivets solder or other adhesives.
- Install sheet metal: Install metal sheets with supportive frameworks at construction sites.
- Inspect and maintain: Perform maintenance and repair work on systems or structures made of sheet metal ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints sketches and building plans.
- Proficiency in using tools and machinery such as shears brakes punches and drill presses.
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Welding experience or certification is a plus.
