_{We are seeking an experienced Cytotechnologist to join our pathology team in a dynamic clinical laboratory setting. This role involves working with state-of-the-art equipment and performing microscopic evaluations of cytology specimens including Pap smears and non-GYN specimens. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented experienced in both GYN and non-GYN screening and able to provide backup support across various lab functions as needed.}

• _{Perform microscopic evaluation and interpretation of gynecologic (Pap smear) cytology specimens.}

• _{Screen and interpret non-gynecologic cytology specimens including fine needle aspirations (FNAs).}

• _{Assist with FNA procedures as needed.}

• _{Process and stain cytology specimens (GYN and non-GYN) including ThinPrep techniques.}

• _{Register and accession cytology cases in SoftPath as needed (primarily covered by support staff).}

• _{Perform routine maintenance on staining and processing instruments (e.g. Leica stainer ThinPrep processor and imager).}

• _{Provide backup coverage for specimen processing and registration during staff absences (PTO FMLA call-offs or high-volume days).}

• _{Bachelors degree in Cytotechnology or related science field.}

• _{Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as a Cytotechnologist (CT-ASCP).}

• _{Proficiency in GYN and non-GYN cytology screening and specimen preparation.}

• _{Experience assisting with fine needle aspiration procedures.}

_Preferred:

• _{Experience with cytology specimen processing and staining.}

• _{Familiarity with automated imaging systems and LIS (SoftPath preferred).}
