_{Position Summary:}

_{The Outpatient Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care through all phases of the nursing process: assessment diagnosis planning implementation and evaluation. This role coordinates nursing care based on established clinical practice standards and works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Care is provided to a diverse population ranging from newborns to elderly patients with special attention to age-specific needs and cultural diversity.}

_{Key Responsibilities:}

_{Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.}
_{Deliver direct patient care administer medications and perform diagnostic procedures as required.}
_{Document care in the electronic medical record accurately and timely.}
_{Educate patients and families on health conditions treatments and post-care needs.}
_{Collaborate with physicians care teams and allied health professionals for continuity of care.}
_{Supervise and provide guidance to Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and Unit Secretaries in collaboration with the Charge Nurse.}
_{Maintain a safe clean and organized care environment in compliance with hospital protocols.}

_{Qualifications:}

_{Education & Licensure:}

_{Graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing program (Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing).}
_{Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alaska (or eligible to obtain).}
_{Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.}
_{Ability to pass and maintain position-specific competencies.}

_Experience:

_{One (1) year of RN experience in a healthcare setting preferred.}
_{New graduates with strong clinical training will be considered.}

_{Skills & Abilities:}

_{Strong written and verbal communication skills.}
_{Proficient in basic nursing procedures EKG interpretation and medical equipment usage.}
_{Skilled in documentation patient education and the use of office and medical technology.}
_{Ability to provide culturally sensitive care across a wide age range.}
_{Familiarity with medical terminology patient safety standards and care coordination.}
